Felt like making personal pies for dinner tonight but did it on short notice so whle at the store looking to pick up some dough to toll out I came across some 10" flatbreads in the bakery. So I figured what the heck lets try rm out.
sliced up some thin slices of tomatos, I had roasted two bell peppers the night before and peeled and seeded & sliced them along with some mushroms and pepperonis sticks. Put the stone in the oven and pre heated it to 450 degrees, brushed on some olive oil and a thin layer of sauce, a layer of sliced peperoni, several thin strips of roasted bell pepper, sliced tomatos and thin liced mozerella.sprinkled on some oregano and crushed red pepper flakes and slid it in on the stone in the oven for 12 minutes.
The fresh ingrediantes on the flatbreads made for a pie with brown melted cheese and a crisp but not burned crust in 12 minutes. Only problem is I scarfed down two of them without leaving any for breakfast!
